ABOUT ME
Nellie Adriane Garcia
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and emigrated to the United States at the age of two. I grew up in the Peninsula near San Francisco with my eleven siblings. Being the third oldest in our little dozen basket of eggs made me independent and responsible at a very young age. My independence developed into confidence and my profession in law enforcement was inevitable. I was sworn in to the law enforcement profession in 2000, and I have served as a Sergeant since 2004. My years of service included being a detective, a training officer, the academy coordinator, and field supervisor. I realized all these positions involved teaching and sharing of the knowledge I had acquired. My love of learning new things and sharing them with those around me was radiating into my career. Now that I am preparing to hang my duty belt and ride into the sunset my desire to share my discoveries needed an outlet. When asked what I wanted to do in my retirement my answer always was, "I want to write a book and be a motivational speaker. I want to share what I have learned so that others may benefit." Encouraged by my wonderful daughter Jasmine I started my blog Affectionately Adriane. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you've enjoyed your visit.
